America! Stores Support Nina Hyde Center for Breast Cancer Research

April 7, 2011

AMERICA!, a retailer of American-themed products via stores, online, is hosting the seventh annual 'Blossoms to Benefit' event from March 26 through April 30, 2011. Ten percent of all proceeds from the sale of seasonal cherry blossoms merchandise will be donated to Georgetown Lombardi’s Nina Hyde Center for Breast Cancer Research.

Blossoms to Benefit is the brainchild of AMERICA!'s empassioned President, Jane Crawford, who seized the opportunity to spread a hopeful message, after overcoming breast cancer for the second time. The Nina Hyde Center for Breast Cancer Research at the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center was established in 1989 as a tribute to Nina Hyde who reigned as fashion editor of The Washington Post for 18 years before breast cancer befell her. She fervently believed in the benefits of early detection and research as the vehicle that would eventually provide a cure.
